The Nudes Palette by Maybelline

Rejoice ladies! The long awaited Nudes palette by Maybelline has finally hit Australian shores! This palette has been out for goodness knows how long in the USA and UK but, as per usual, Aussie beauty babes had to wait a ridiculously long time to get their hands on it. Without further ado, here it is!

The Product - The Nudes by Maybelline ($25.95)

There are very VERY few large eyeshadow palettes available in Australia from drugstore brands so it's really nice to see this one arrive AND for a pretty decent price too. The packaging is pretty simple, if a little plasticy and the plate comes with two of those awful "standard" eyeshadow applicators. But you do get 12 shades in a mixture of matte and shimmery finishes. I like the colour selection that Maybelline have gone with, there's a nice mixture of shades. There's a guide on the back and the shade are meant to pair up as duos, trios or quads, or you can just wing it like me!

Quality-wise, I was really surprised and impressed with the majority of the shades. They're quite pigmented and easy to blend with minimal fallout. One or two of the shades aren't fabulous, not very pigmented and quite hard to use, but for $25, I think it's really fantastic value. I also think that Maybelline have set the bar pretty high for the competition.
